About the Journal
J-Act (Journal of Community Action and Empowerment) is a peer-reviewed open-access journal that focuses on the dissemination of innovative practices, research findings, and development models in community service and empowerment. J-Act serves as a forum for academics, practitioners, researchers, and community development actors to share their work and ideas, contributing to inclusive and sustainable social transformation.
The journal is published four times a year (February, May, August, and November) by CV Digitech Minahasa. J-Act accepts manuscripts in both Indonesian and English.
Focus and Scope
J-Act welcomes manuscripts related to the following areas:

Open Access Policy
J-Act provides immediate open access to all its content. This principle is based on the belief that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. No subscription or registration fees are required to access the journal's content.

Authors retain the copyright of their published articles and grant J-Act the right of first publication. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0). This license permits use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited and is not used for commercial purposes.
Sponsorship and Funding Disclosure
J-Act is independently published by CV Digitech Minahasa and currently does not receive any funding or sponsorship from external institutions. The publication is sustained by internal resources and possible article processing charges (if any).
Journal History
J-Act was established in 2024 in response to the growing need for a dedicated platform to publish quality scientific work in the field of community service and empowerment. The journal strives to bridge the gap between academia and society through knowledge sharing and community-based innovation.
